Talk about FUN with my cousins!!!

I had off on Friday, so I decided to visit with my cousins in Manassas, VA! I got to thier house around 1:00 and we left out to the pool. They really wanted to show me thier new swimming skills! Too fun!!! We hung out at the pool for a few hours and then headed home to eat the most YUMMIEST speghetti my Aunt has ever made! Or maybe I've just never had it before... YUMMY!!!! My mom surprised us and showed up around 9 and we quickly boiled water to eat some pasteles that my mom's friend brought her back.

Pasteles are yummy puerto rican food, they're like meat wrapped in potatoes/ yam mixture. They look not too yummy, but are the BEST!!!

Saturday morning we woke up early to go see Keona

and Lorenzo

swim at thier final swim meet! They are the Wellington Dolphins!! Unfortunatly me and my mom showed up a few minutes late and MISSED Kiki and Renzo's favorite stroke... the Freestyle!!

However, we DID catch thier Backstroke...

Look at the great photo I caught of Keona (last lane arm in the air)!

I didn't catch Renzo swimming, I was too busy screaming for him to win his HEAT! And he DID!!!!!!!!!! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO proud of you Lorenzo!

Lorenzo also swam the butterfly stroke!

Canale Creations

was featured in the booklet at the swim meet.

I am currently creating a scrapbook of my cousin's swimming season. I will post photos as soon as I can!!

Stay posted for NEW memory boards!!!

So I'm thinking of changing my symbol from the roses to me!

What do you think?

My newest creations!

Hi Everyone!

I know it's been a while since my last BLOG! I just can't find time to blog very often. So I JUST found out great news.... I'm going to be an AUNT!!! I hope my sister doesn't check this site... I made her this box!

She is VERY supersticous, so I can't give it to her until she's 15 weeks, she's currently 12 weeks. SO I hid it in her basement and I'm going to get her husband to go to the basement and give it to her at 15 weeks. She doesn't go in her basement, it's old and there were sprickets in there at one time. So she really liked the Mommy to be Box, but though it was too small, so I made her this box. It's 12" x 9" x 3". So much larger for all the baby stuff you collect when you're expecting.

The lid isn't hinged, so I was able to put a lot more in the lid! The collage was from some baby magizines she gave me! I also put some scrapbook stickers on there also!

Below is the front of the box. It had a slot for a label, they are calling the baby 'Lil Angel' in the sonogram photos, and it's due February 1, 2008!!!

How perfect did that Lady in Waiting sticker fit there?

Here is a photo in the inside of the box. I LOVE this paper. It's the ONLY pregnancy paper I could find!!! They also need to make more gender neutral paper... she doesn't want to know the sex of the baby, so everything I make the baby will have to be gender neutral...

So in between my many trips to NYC (first for Etsy craft show)

and second for my cousins Sweet 16... I decided to make eye glass cases. On my birthday I scrached my FAVORITE sunglasses so I said...well I guess I'll make eye glass cases! :)

Too cute right? I put batting in the material so they REALLY protect the glasses.

And they aren't bulky like a hard case, so I can carry it in my purse without stuffing up my entire purse!

I think polka dots are too cute!

ETSY LABS SHOW and Tooth Fairy Pillows!

This weekend I traveled (and dragged my Husband) to NY to go to the Etsy craft show! It was wonderful there! We left around 9 a.m. and got to NY around 3:00 (tons of traffic). We went to my sister's house, got a snack and drove over to the show! I met WONDERFUL CREST artists and the wonderful ETSY Labs people. They were so nice and the labs were wonderful! How cool would it be to work at the ETSY LABS??? They were all so helpful and crafty! SO I sold my FIRST Tooth Fairly Pillow there and decided to feature them on my blog today!
Has your child ever worried if the tooth fairy will find thier tooth? Then these cute "tooth shaped" tooth fairy pillows are exactly what you need!

They come in various creative prints! Each 5" x 3.5" pillow is made of 100% cotton and is filled with soft and fluffy poly-fil.

They also have a small 2" x 2" pocket in the front for your child to fit thier tooth in, and in the morning find thier gift from the tooth fairy!

A tooth fairy poem is also attached to each pillow which states:"A tooth fell out and left a space, So big my tongue could touch my face. And every time I smile I show, A space where something used to grow, I put it here before I sleep, So you can leave, a gift to keep."
These are perfect for a child at any age! Please check back, I will post new prints periodically!
